Mad Max Fury Road Will Premiere at Cannes

Almost 30 years after the previous installment Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome comes Mad Max: Fury Road. Fury Road is going to premiere at Cannes. George Miller has been trying to get this project off the ground for more than 10 years. It was originally going to star Mel Gibson as Max. It was originally written as a sequel to Beyond Thunderdome. It apparently is a sequel to Beyond Thunderdome according to certain reports from people who have seen the actual movie at a screening. George Miller states that the film is supposed to be more than 30 years later (which really mess with continuity seeing that Max looks a little young to be as old as he is).

TV spots have been released for this upcoming film which shows a little more footage. FlavioDomenico said that this looks to be a return to the high that was reached with The Road Warrior. The official rating of this film is R. There might be a bit of intensely violent scenes in this film.

Another unique thing about this film is that it is going to be light on dialogue. George Miller has written and shot this film as one long chase scene. The Road Warrior was a similar film. Max in that film only had 14 lines.
