A 1980s and 1990s cartoon classic is about to make another entrance to television screens. Disney’s Ducktales starring Scrooge McDuck will be coming back to the series world starting sometime in 2017 on Disney’s XD channel.
According to an article found on reddit and written by deadline.com, the show will bring back all of the original characters including Scrooge McDuck’s lovable and active nephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie along with Launchpad McQuack and Gyro Gearloose. The manager of the show and Disney’s manager promises that this version of the show will be just as good as the previous one, so that the children of the kids in the 90s’ can share that same enthusiasm for the duck family and their crazy adventures.
Brian says the plot is about Scrooge McDuck who is a billionaire in their fictional city, and his three grandnephews, who are actually the children of his son, Donald Duck but he is never seen in the series CatalystFive notes. McDuck has his iconic swims in his money located deep in his mansion, and together with his staff and family they solve mysteries and fight crime throughout their area. It was one of the most beloved television cartoons during the two decade span of time, and for those who grew up with it they will be delighted to hear about its return. It will be exciting to see how the newest generation takes to it, but without doubt it will be a hit.
