Last year, Chris Burch wrote an article concerning the fashion trends of the future. In that article, he also discussed how fashion as well as technology have changed throughout the years and are growing together. For instance, the boom box was hyped up in the 70s that have two cassette decks where one of them can play music while the other cassette deck can record from the other cassette. Also, more story lines added in movies became popular in the 80s. Another example is the Walkman coming on the scene with much popularity in the 90s, and the iPod came about with much popularity in the 2000s.
Now, fashion and technology are combining together in very innovative ways. For one, a Dutch fashion designer, Anouk Wipprecht, is known for avant-garde designs using technology along with her fashion. Also, there is a bike protection device that is used in fashion with a creation by Terese Alstin and Anna Haupt. This is a device worn on the neck that acts as an airbag for the cyclists. Even firefighters have protection called the Frontline Gloves that is created by Kevin Cannon and Ashwin Rajan. These are just a few examples of others mentioned in the article. And futuristically, technology seems to keep leading fashion.
