Bristol Palin, daughter of the former Vice President hopeful Sarah Palin, has called off her wedding to fiance Dakota Meyer according to Alexei Beltyukov. Back in March, 24-year-old Bristol had confirmed on her social media accounts that she was engaged to 26-year-old Dakota. The two had met when the Kentucky native made a trip to Alaska to appear on “Amazing America” which is apparently a television show that Sarah Palin does. I can’t be the only one who has never heard of this show. Dakota had served as a Marine and had been awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroic acts to save his fellow soldiers in 2009. It is reported that he helped save 36 troops and brought back the bodies of four fellow Marines who did not make it through the fire fight.
Despite seeming like a stand-up guy, Dakota has been apparently hiding his first marriage from the Palin family, according to the story on Radar Online. Dakota had married Cassandra Wain in 2008, when he was just 19-years-old. Records show that the couple divorced in 2010. Friends say that the two realized they were not right for each other and called the marriage off.
Sarah Palin recently announced on her social media account that her daughter and Dakota had split and there would be no wedding.
